In June 2020, members of the Digital Leadership Forum met over Zoom to discuss ‘Jump-starting recovery with digital transformation’

Representatives from leading organisations including Unilever, BAE Systems, Dell Technologies, Clifford Chance, Octopus Investments, GSK, EDF, G4S, BT, AXA PPP healthcare, BDO, Coutts, BPP University, Macmillan Cancer Support, Ofgem, Baillie Gifford, Chaucer Group, First Rate Exchange Services and many more gained insights from industry leaders and digital strategists on how to harness the power of digital technologies to drive transformation across their business, and how other leading organisations are reconfiguring their operations.

Rachel Higham, Managing Director of IT at BT and Stuart Alexander, Director – Consulting Services at FromHereOn began the session by discussing the essential strategies to jump-starting digital transformation in the current crisis.

Next, we heard from Robbie Hearn, Co-founder & CEO of Standing on Giants who shared insights into how to build a successful online community.

Other key themes explored during the session included the best guiding principles for accelerating end to end digitisation and driving the future of work, and which types of leadership are required to establish remote working through digital communication and collaboration tools.

In May 2020, members of the Digital Leadership Forum met over Zoom to discuss ‘How can AI & automation accelerate organisational change?

Representatives from leading organisations including Dell Technologies, Lloyds Banking Group, GSK, BT, AstraZeneca, EDF Energy, LV=, G4S, Pfizer, Baillie Gifford & Co, SGS, Chaucer Group, Clifford Chance and more explored how leading organisations can design better future performance and productivity through new automated technologies.

Attendees first heard from Adam Purcell, Product Owner for AI & Machine Intelligence at Lloyds Banking Group on how they are transforming the business through automation and designing machine learning outputs that genuinely enrich the power of a person.

Next, we heard from Ivana Bartoletti, Co-Founder of the Women Leading in AI network and author of An Artificial Revolution, who explored how a range of AI and automated technologies are generating real value for a cross section of leading industries.

Other key themes explored included AI in the COVID-19 era, the key principles of innovating with artificial intelligence, regulatory framework, privacy and ethics, and the essential skills for digital leaders to prosper in the age of AI, the importance of collaboration between humans and AI automation, and how humans are crucial for identifying important questions and powering AI with new talent and skillsets.
